Employee of the Week

When Mrs. Clarissa Knight, then Assistant Superintendent for Administration, approached Maurice Reynolds about a custodial position at Dan River High School, he thought, “I’ll give it a try.”  For many years, he witnessed his mother serve schools in the same capacity.  Fast forward nearly 20 years later, and Mr. Reynolds is vital to so much more than the “typical” custodian.

Mr. Reynolds (“Reece”) is a 1994 Dan River High School graduate and proud father of two young men who are also alumni of DRHS.  Since the pandemic, Mr. Reynolds extends himself to tasks outside his regular responsibilities.  His leadership, initiative, and willingness to assist in all areas is nothing short of inspirational!  Beyond his “normal” duties, he devotes countless hours to coaching and mentoring young people.

To add to his agenda he is also quite busy with ventures in car detailing, pressure washing, and Lyft, just to name a few.  In his spare time, Mr. Reynolds enjoys Topgolf, athletics, and physical fitness.  He is hard-working, but loves to travel and enjoy life with family and friends.

Thank you, Mr. Reynolds, the epitome of Wildcat Pride!
