The faculty and staff of Dan River Middle School (DRMS) are proud to recognize Ms. Frances Uitto as our "Employee of the Week."
Ms. Uitto graduated from Radford University with a teaching degree in 2006. She taught 8th grade English for eight years. Ms. Uitto continued her education and graduated from Walden University in 2018 with a school counseling degree.
This is Ms. Uitto's fourth year at Dan River Middle School. Ms. Uitto has worked diligently throughout this COVID-19 pandemic enduring numerous scheduling changes and helping DRMS students and staff through unprecedented crises.
Ms. Uitto enjoys reading, running, and spending time outside with friends and family in her spare time. She is married with two children.
Ms. Uitto's favorite part of her job is interacting with the students. She finds great joy when her students are successful and work through life's obstacles.
All of Dan River Middle School's employees thank Ms. Uitto for her hard work and dedication. She goes beyond the call of duty which has earned her this recognition as "Employee of the Week."
