Stony Mill Elementary School is pleased to announce that Mrs. Wanda Love has been chosen as the “Employee of the Week.” Mrs. Love has been employed as a bus driver by Pittsylvania County Schools for the past 17 years. She is an excellent bus driver who shows a genuine interest in her students’ wellbeing. Mrs. Love develops positive, personal relationships with every student that rides her bus. She is hard working, dedicated and dependable. Mrs. Love is a great team player and often voluntarily runs a double route when there are last minute bus driver absences. Mrs. Love says she truly enjoys her job and looks forward to seeing the children each day. She thinks of the students as her own.
Mrs. Love is originally from Chesapeake, Virginia. She moved to Danville 20 years ago and is married to Robert Love. Together, they have ten children, twenty-eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Love enjoys working puzzles during her free time and spending time with her family. Congratulations to Mrs. Love on her much deserved selection as Pittsylvania County Schools’ Employee of the Week.
