Southside Elementary School is honored to present Mrs. Jamelle Shields as our Employee of the Week. Mrs. Shields has worked as a paraprofessional at Southside Elementary School for two years and in PCS for four years. Teachers, students, and staff at Southside always enjoy interacting with Mrs. Shields, as she always has a positive attitude and a smile for everyone. She is dependable and completes all duties with excellence. She is very talented in music and comedy, and she entertained us all at our holiday event last December with a hilarious comedy routine!
Mrs. Shields enjoys spending time with her family and “furbabies.” She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Mark, for 26 years and has 3 beautiful daughters. She loves to sing, laugh, and read. Her love for Jesus translates into her community as she is part of New Song Community Choir, Oakland UMC Drama Team, and White Oak Worship Center.
In her own words, “I can honestly say that I love my job! I am a ‘people person’ and have always had a heart for children. This is the perfect job for me.” Southside Elementary School is blessed to have such a positive and energetic individual as part of our school family!
