The faculty and staff of Dan River Middle School are proud to recognize Ms. Amanda Riley as our "Employee of the Week."
Ms. Riley has been teaching for twenty-two years. Fifteen of those years have been for Pittsylvania County Schools. She is currently an 8th grade English teacher and chairperson of the student recognition focus team. Ms. Riley has worked diligently through the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure students are recognized for their academic and behavioral success through various events and rewards. Last year, Ms. Riley had 100% of her remote students pass the SOL test.
Ms. Riley is married to Ryan Riley and has two sons, Aaron and Ethan. She enjoys spending time with them as well as reading. Ms. Riley’s favorite part of the job is interacting with the students and giving them the tools to be successful in reading and writing.
We thank Ms. Riley for her hard work and dedication. Always going beyond the call of duty is what has earned her recognition as "Employee of the Week."
