Martin Smith has been a school counselor since moving to Virginia in the summer of 2002. He began working for Pittsylvania County Schools in the fall of 2006 at Chatham Elementary School and transferred to Kentuck Elementary in 2012.
Mr. Smith lives in Chatham with his wife, Carol. Their son, Andy, lives in the Washington D.C. area. Mr. Smith enjoys his work as a counselor and loves being part of a school community. He thinks that kids are awesome and educators are amazing.
He believes that every day is a chance to find a smile in other people and to appreciate being alive.
